Accomplishments : 2007 

 

        1.  Incorporated as a not-for-profit entity, New York State Farmstead and Artisan Cheese Makers Guild, Inc., with support in the process from the Center for Agriculture Development and Entrepreneurship (CADE).

        2.   Enrolled 27 of New York State's farmstead and artisan cheese makers as voting     members.   

        3.   Held the Annual Membership Meeting in April,  attended by 30 cheese makers and supporters.   An active, elected Board of Directors is now comprised of nine members.

        4.   Produced an updated brochure listing the cheese maker members, and added a downloadable pdf to the web site.

        5.   Launched revised website, www.nyfarmcheese.org, listing member cheese makers, upcoming classes and events, and resources.

        6.    Co-sponsored the first Upper Hudson Cheese Maker self-guided tour of 5 cheese makers in Washington County.
